Hi Chris,

The total number of tracks would be dependent on the file type you intend to put on the Z2. For mp3 files you'll fit a lot on to the 32GB of space - probably somewhere in the region of 7000 - 8000. For FLAC files they are similar in size to video files and you'd fit significantly less of this type onto your player.

Any further questions, do ask.

Is there a limit to the total number of tracks, as the J3 had 8,000 max. If so, no amount of SD card expansion will help me; otherwise, I'll order one today!

I bought this unit and not really satisfied with it. First, the stand by time is a joke. Fully charged, i left it for about 3 days and the power fully drained off. Second, the screen is not as smooth to interact with as compared to iphone/ipod touch. Good thing is i can copy and paste music without running through programs such as itunes.

Hi Mario,

The C4 is a high end player that doesn’t offer much outside of simply playing music. However, the quality of sound that it is capable of reproducing is outstanding and ultimately outweighs the lack of extras and higher price tag – that’s if you’re after a dedicated music player.

If you’re after something with all the extras as well as great sound, the Sony-Z1060 is arguably the best sounding PMP Sony have produced. It is Android enabled which gives fast access to the internet and Android Apps Market. It also has a large screen which displays video files beautifully.

Elliot has written a review of the Sony Z series in the same section as this review so if you need any further information, do have a look at that.

Alternatively, feel free to drop us an email at any stage if you’ve got any more questions.

Can anyone tell me how this would compare to the new Sony NWZ-Z1060 32GB Walkman which i've heard excellent reviews on ? I know colorfly c4 is considerably more but sony has lots of features and also has an excellent sound, according to reviews. So how do they both compare for value for money ? Or is the c4 better in every way ?

Hi. Pretty short review but enought detailed.

You did not talk zabout the life battery... a bit short in Audio (22h announced, versus 16h measured in real-life).

A part of that, this player is awsome.

It is a real pleasure to use it everay day mostly for music but the screen is so great that looking pictures, watching videos, ebooks or surfing is amazing.

Capacity could be 32+32 Gb not so bad at all. For instance i have ~100 album mostly flac on 25 Gb of space.

Fingers crossed we start seeing some 100+GB flash players coming out soon since the cost of memory chips has decreased a bit now. Be great to have a slim player with masses of storage.

Well that's what I'm holding out for personally anyway lol.
