Large 14.2 mm dynamic driver
The FF1 features a large 14.2mm dynamic driver, not common in its nominal class. The driver not only democratizes high-end driver materials to be more affordable, it also introduces a new acoustic design. This driver is part of the second generation of dynamic drivers of FiiO FF series.
Thanks to its scientifically informed design, the resonance frequency of the FF1 driver helps to acquire more extended, dynamic and textured bass for an overall grander sound.
Breathtaking sound
The driver and its diaphragm are the core of an earbud, being where sound is generated. In order to provide sound quality beyond its nominal class, we democratized high-end driver materials to be accessible at an affordable price. Not only is the FF1’s driver highly rigid and lightweight with sufficient damping, but a special suspension system for the gasket was specifically designed for the FF1 to allow the driver to move better. This results in better quality and robust bass, sweet mids and vocals, for a sound that simply oozes atmosphere.
Hidden extended bass acoustic resistance pipes
Sound comes from the movement of air, and how to harness that movement of air is what acoustic engineers focus on. For the FF1, the acoustic engineers designed a slender acoustic resistance pipe that starts from the top of the FF1 ear stem and goes to its rear. This concealed acoustic pipe not only contributes to the FF1’s elegant design but also allows the air inside the earbuds to flow smoothly. Most importantly, the earbud’s body reduces bass loss, giving you deeper yet purer high-quality bass.
Experience high-quality bass
When the FF1 is worn openly, the effective frequency response reaches down to an astonishing 38Hz, better immersing the listener into their music. For better bass performance, it is recommended to use the earbuds with sponge covers.
Open sound and comfortable to wear
For earbud users, comfort is the top priority. For even greater comfort, based on the large amounts of user feedback of the FF series we optimized the diameter of the earbud shells that make contact with the ear, reducing it from 16.5mm to 16.2mm. While a subtle move, it is one that displays our commitment to listeners.
Lightweight and almost invisible to wear
As an affordable entry-level earbud, the FF1 is more likely to be used in a wide range of scenarios and for longer – thus we needed to ensure the earbuds are comfortable for long listening sessions. The FF1 of a single earbud is only 3.2g, making it almost invisible in your ears for excellent comfort when wearing it for long periods of time.
Non-intrusive when lying on your side
The development team’s goal for the FF1 was to make it a true multipurpose all-arounder, to be the ideal all-day HiFi companion. Without compromising on sound quality, the acoustic engineers carefully minimized the volume of the earbuds such that they do not protrude from the ears when worn, letting you comfortably use them even while sleeping or lying on your side. Whether you are watching dramas, gaming, or listening to music on your side at night, the FF1 is there for you every starry night.
Anti-slip silicone rings and silicone wing hooks included
Included with the FF1 are 3 pairs of different sizes of anti-slip silicone rings, allowing the earbuds to comfortably stay in your ear no matter your ear size. In addition, thanks to the open-wearing nature of the FF1, using the earbuds is relatively suitable and okay for activities such as hiking or biking. Thus, also included with the FF1 are a pair of silicone wing hooks, truly letting you experience Hifi even when working out!
Open wearing refers to normal wearing of the earbud with sound leakage and without a sponge cover.
Microphone with in-line controls
The FF1 features in-line controls, letting you take calls with just one button and via an HD microphone, for high-quality calls. The FF1 can also be used as a Hifi gaming headset, letting you freely share info with the HD mic while being utterly immersed in the game’s sound.
