The resonance chamber design was inspired by the highly respected acoustic architecture of the Bayreuth Festival Theatre in Germany, whose multi-stage attenuation contributes to the listener's experience of hearing a wide, detailed soundstage in a small, enclosed space. Sound takes a circuitous route through the chamber, creating a wide soundstage beyond what is typically associated with similarly priced products.

Unlike the sound waves created by a conventional magnet, the unique shape of Stealth Magnets enables the waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference. HIFIMAN's advanced magnet design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The reduced distortion yields pure sonic output that is accurate and full-range.

Most headphones feature a Diffuse-Field design that leads to a lack of bass, so they are mostly used in limited applications such as play-backs.
