Amp3 Charity Track Day for The British Heart Foundation

track dayAmp3 & Murray Lotus Track Day

On Friday 25 September, Advanced MP3 Players held their annual Charity Track Day in conjunction with the Scottish Elise Forum and sponsors Murray Lotus. This year the event was in aid of The British Heart Foundation. The day started with some fast paced laps around the track and ended in with evening entertainment at the Boroughmuir Rugby Club for a BBQ, raffle and auction.

The ominous cloud which stubbornly hung over Knockhill for the afternoon wasn’t enough to dampen the spirits of the drivers or their passengers. The great atmosphere was evident both on and off the track with awards being won for Most Improved Driver and the Marshalls Award for Best Driver.

Some fast and some entertaining laps were made that set the pace for the night ahead which raised in the region of £20 000.

Barbara Osborne, Head of Volunteer Fundraising at British Heart Foundation Scotland, said:

We’re able to carry on saving lives in Scotland thanks to the support of companies like Advanced MP3 Players. Their fundraising is vital to help us continue our work to beat heart disease, Scotland’s biggest single killer.”

Malcolm Donohoe, Digital Audio Distribution:

I’m delighted with how the Murray Lotus and Advanced MP3 Players Charity Trackday went – everyone had a great time on track and the auction and raffle raised more than we dared hope!  My thanks really go out to everyone who helped make the day what it was – all the sponsors, all the contributors of auction and raffle prizes and most of all, the attendees who spent their hard earned money on having fun for a superb cause in memory of my Dad and in support of The British Heart Foundation Scotland.

Overall the charity day was enjoyed by all who participated with some walking off with seriously impressive raffle prizes.

AMP3 Favourite Touch Rugby Team is Back on AMP3 Blog With A New Story!

This week, a big applause to another Scottish Touch Rugby player for his great testimony and picture:

“…
This weekend the Jaybird sponsored Scotland Touch M30 team heads into final preparations for the World Cup with a training camp at Peffermill.
Touch at elite level requires speed, strength, power, agility and endurance.  This base fitness work can take many different formats, here Scotland winger Dennis McNabb wears his Jaybird Sportsband 2‘s for a session on the bike.

The Touch World Cup is being held at Peffermill in Edinburgh from 20-26th June 2011.

New Testimony From The Scottish Touch Rugby Team! Read About Their Jaybird Experience!

The Scottish Touch Rugby Team is sharing more Jaybird experience with us:

“…
The Jaybird sponsored Scotland Touch M30 team had the weekend off from National squad duties but many of the team were in action for their Club sides.  Saturday saw the first event of the STS (Scottish Touch Series) a  1 day tournament series for mixed sex Club teams.  As a sport, Touch is somewhat unique in that Men and Women can compete together at elite level in the same team.  The Meerkats team featuring 4 of the Scotland M30 team ran out winners in Stirling.

Through the day Jaybird Freedom and Sportsband 2′s were great for relaxation between games.

The Touch World Cup is being held at Peffermill in Edinburgh from 20-26th June 2011.
